Fished from 10am till 7pm in baking hot weather.
Wasn’t expecting much as it was very sunny but the chub kept me interested throughout the day!
It all started around 11:00 with a lovely Barbel 9lb 11oz (on pellet and feeder) and then had chub until 5:30ish, when I had another barbel.
Ending up with 4 barbel and 7 good sized chub all on pellet from the lower field.
A good day considering the conditions.

Tough day. River low and clear. Warm and sunny day. Beautiful location. Blanked early morning, so returned for a few hours in the evening. Picked up 2 chub - just under 4lb and 5lb, plus a small barbel. Hair-rigged Dynamite meatfurter soft bait plus Big River meatfurther mix in the feeder.

Chris had more barbel today than his whole 3 day visit last year and well earned too.
Sherpa Coning added a few to the tally between his duties as chef.
A wonderful day on this stunning beat. It really is a treat to fish there.

Scorching day, all the action as expected in the latter stages of the day. Usual pellet and feeder tactics. Decent, “Wye average” stamp of fish.

First and last time at this fishery. Before anybody thinks of booking make sure there is enough water in the river as in this case we could have walked across entire fishery ??????? To rub salt in to the wounds 2 locals came and fished dead opposite the only "holes" we could find .They obviously were not worried about having there collars felt! Left at 2pm wasted day.
