Absolutely stunning beautiful beat. Recent heavy rain has caused increased flow and colour, only possible to fish the slacks and needed a larger lead than of late to hold bottom. No fish caught, however, we will be back to try our luck again.

River up about a metre over the last two days but fortunately less weed coming down. Shared one rod in a peg with some shelter from the fast current. Fished down the edge and caught 6 barbel and a good chub of 4lbs+ at regular intervals.

River level increased further overnight. Fished down the bottom end of the beat, very pacy and plenty of weed coming through. Could only hold when ledgering on the near side margin. All 4 fish came from that line on pellet.

River was the colour of strong tea and belting through. 1 chub for our efforts.

River was high and coloured (1.7m at the river level monitoring station) with lots of weed and logs being washed downstream.
Difficult conditions but I managed a 7.5lb barbel on the second cast. A massive fight in the strong flow.

River up and pushing hard. With so much debris coming through we were forced into the nearside banks out of the main flow. Ground too heavy to drive down to the bankside parking areas meant a long walk to the river followed by another long walk to the top of the beat to find fishable swims. For our efforts we were rewarded with a barbel each of 6lb. Not a memorable day on The Wye.

River still up and pushing through, but it started to drop around noon. The late afternoon conditions were good and resulted in 10 barbel to 8.2, 7 chub (one over 5) and an eel. A good end to our 5 days on the Wye-what a stunning area, catching fish is a bonus!
