What a difference a day makes. We found the fishing hard the day before yet it was a lot better today. The fish were caught using the standard feeder and pellet approach. The weather was a mix of sun and cloud and warmer than the previous day.

First time on the beat for both of us. One fished by the fishing Hut and the other the 'Lucky Stone' . Relatively quiet during the day, sun was up. Sport picked up late afternoon / evening. All fish caught on mix of meat and pellet, on feeder method. Nothing on the float. Lots of kit lost due to deep weed beds. Barbel to 8lb 12oz and all chub over 4lb.
The walk around the woods was hard work, and I am relatively fit. It incorporates a decent hill. Forget a trolley , there are a number of steps and gates. Take light kit...then make it lighter! Don't try and cut through the wood where the land slide is marked, it is too dangerous wet or dry if you are carrying kit.
Great location, beautiful rural location, a few local dog walkers on the hut side, but courteous.

Very wet day. Lost 2 caught 3 3, 7 & 8lb. Fished small boilies over pellet & hemp. Would have caught more if the weather would have let up a little, rained solid all day. Had stretch to myself, fished the end crib in the woods section.
