arrived around 11, already too late for first swim over bridge (kid and dogs swimming ) obviously can't read haha, so off down to end swim LHS, fed mashed bread , instant response to float fished bread, 4 Chub up to 3.5lbs over 1/2 hour, then dead, set up feeder ,halibut ground bait hair rigged elips pellets ,sat on box out on the shallows ,weed a bit of a problem but by 2.30pm had 2 more Chub a one elusive Barbel of 5lbs, tried meat but Eels like it big time.
back to car for dinner ,then did some trotting on middle swim LHS loads of chub to a lb (but most 10inch long and odd dace to corn as well ,tried the lead mid river but out there,it eats kit at a regular rate ......roving pays dividends here ,releasing silver fish back tends to slow swims up even with constant feeding . very enjoyable day , thank you ...note it may well pay to remove the large limb of the willow tree at bottom ,and the smaller one above , this would give easy access to trot or ledger with casting ease ,as the LHS of the tree swim is horrible to fish out of >??
1 Barbel, 14 Chub, 5 Other

This report and the one before it is for 2 anglers CT and AW.
Worst day of the season here at Wyebank - The canoe traffic was horrendous today - non stop and plenty of swimmers also. The canoe traffic did not calm down until well gone 16.00hrs
It was so bad today you could not keep a rod in the water properly for any length of time.
On top of the fished from 10.30 to 19.15 - CT had the only one barbel take all day and the fish bumped off in weed.
Blanked
