Needed a bit more water on......difficult conditions today. 4 anglers zero fish, not a single bite between us. Not many pegs available in the deeper water section. Disappointing but still a great day out.

Much harder today as arrived to find the river 18" up on yesterday and some colour. Struggled through most of the day, even reverting to putting out small lures and managed to bag 2 nice perch, the biggest of which was 2.5lb. The later afternoon then delivered again with 3 chub to 4lb and a nice 8lb barbel on the last cast of the day. Very enjoyable trip and will definitely be back.

caught nothing all day. i used to love this beat for its almost guaranteed bag of big chub with the odd decent barbel thrown in, sadly that is no more.. totally devoid of fish, i spent over an hour walking the banks and did not spot a single fish apart from a few salmon jumping. will not be back..

Great weather and a fantastic setting for this first of 2 days. Action packed first hour with barbel of 10.5lb and 7.5lb, followed by a lull until the late afternoon when 4 chub came to the net from 4lb to 5.25lb. Nice to have the landowner show so much interest and listen to constructive feedback as to how to improve this venue still further (basically, please open up more swims in the downstream section as it looks fabulous but there was no way to fish the bottom half of the beat at all).
