River fairly low and clear. Weed floating down which tangles up with line. Fishing slow. Chub caught on ledger but was patchy . Barbel did not seem interested. Weather sunny, very warm and very humid.

After nearly giving up on the Barbel over the weekend one last cast provided a double figure barbel on halibut pellet from Beat 4 in the deep water after the big turn from beat 3.

As others have mentioned not many maintained swims to fish so those that are there are probably hit quite hard – moved around them and had a few chub and late evening Barbel
I did see the celebrity otter too!
