We fished with cage feeders and 8mm pellets on the hook close to the near bank, hard work but ended up with 3 barbel to 8lb, once again river slightly high with lots of loose streamer weed making fishing conditions very difficult.

Hard days fishing, bites came at first and last light. Slow during the day as sun was out all day, luckily we had airb&b 500yard from this stretch to go and freshen up. Last two swim were the most productive.

A really tough day with hot weather and the river was a little strange in colour, almost as if sediment had been disturbed - maybe a little algae.

A very hot day, but the fishing was steady. The largest fish was a shade under 8lb and the others all over 5lb. All caught on small pellets.
Last fish of the day was an eel.
Fished the lower part of the beat in the deep channel.

9 Barbel, 1 Other
