Cold, wet, muddy and happy. River had a few extra centimetres but no colour. struggled a bit holding bottom with loose debris and leaves accumulating but thats wha you get in November. No boats at all.

Fished in the woods with feeder, alternating boilie and pellets, the latter attracting an 8lb barbel. No bites before about 11,30 am.

Very greasy and slippery. would not have got down the bank without my home-made rope-ladder.

Thanks WUF. Back again soon, I hope.

No significant change in river level after recent rain but a nice tinge of colour. Most fish fell to maggots and pellet. Great day on a comfortable beat

We only had the morning to fish and knew it would be tough in the conditions. Really nice stretch, rugged and quiet, just how I like the Wye. Will definitely be back in better conditions.

Arrived at Foy Bridge to find a fair amount of water rushing through which was a touch surprising in view it had not rained heavily up in the hills over the past couple of days.
Fishing was really slow here and not much of a return for our efforts and a reflection of our limited ability!!
But....there is always next year to improve...

Great conditions with the river up a bit and warming weather. Expected a better catch. 6LB Barbel first cast and 4LB Chub second cast then nothing but a few chub bites for the rest of the day. Lovely stretch with loads of excellent swims
