Water level very low, managed to find a few fish on the shallows at the top end but very spooky, caught all the fish in the fast water at the bottom of the beat on meat couldn't get a bite on pellets biggest barbel 8.5lb other species were eels

My son I was fishing with caught an eel. Not big about 18 inches. On chorizo cube. On hook. (Branded fishing bait not food shop) was unhooked successfully
And released quickly.

River extremely low but caught steadily all day. Lost 3 or 4 as well. Barbel were all between 4-6 pound and chub 3-4 pound. Other was a nice sized eel. Made up for the blank, the previous day, at How Caple Court.

The river is so low you can see right across in most places. Very little flow. Very few fish showing. If I had not booked this some time ago I would not have chosen to fish. Rain is needed. A lone chub saved my day.
