Another great day on this lovely beat. The barbel are much harder to catch since the chub apocalypse but we worked hard and had a few fish for our efforts. The path to the bottom swims is worse than ever, so bring good boots and be prepared to wade.
Thanks to Colin as always for his hard work in keeping the beat in such great condition. Absolutely no thanks at all to the angler who defecated in plain view in the end island swim, leaving us a delightful early morning find. I really hope you blanked.

River very low but we managed to find a swim with fast water. Banks very steep and access hard. We both managed to climb down in the end(both oaps).Wishing slow but that was the conditions not the venue. We managed 2 barbel and 4 chub on pellets and boiles

Arrived at 2pm weather hot and sunny river same conditions as yesterday started floatfishing feeding pellets and hemp and meat on the hook 4 chub in quick succession 2lb - 3lb then swim died,moved swims carried on with same method a further 10 chub followed.Changed to groundbait feeder with meat on the hook and fished until dusk 6 chub up to 4lb and a bonus Barbel of 7lb 4oz.
