deeper fast flow sections fished. it was good fishing in varying conditions catching all day. Static methods used for simplicity for my son. I was uncertain if we would get a barbel on the feeder due to water conditions, but perseverance paid off. rolling and trotting would have been preferred,

Couple of chub on float fished bread the rest on feeder using 8mm halibut pellet on hook . River very low so all fish concentrated in faster water at bottom of beat.

Much better day with the weather more overcast and some rain showers. Same feeder tactics produced good fish very quickly then swapped to trotting small cubes of meat throughout the middle of the day. The chub were everywhere and feeding well constantly attacking the feeder which caused a few problems getting snagged under rocks. Swapping to straight lead and pva bag helped. Other were eels.
No barbel this trip but will try again towards the end of the summer hopefully water temp will be down and a bit more flow. Will probably skip July next year.

River level the lowest we have fished the best but a couple of heavy showers and cloud helped the fishing . Caught trotting and on feeder both on pellet and meat .

River low and clear, but spot on for fishing off the rocks. 10 barbel and 17 chub caught in the fast water at the top of the pool and 32 Chub caught on the run off. Couldn't get through the chub at times, but they tailed off through the day, changing hookbaits regularly helped keep the bites coming. Lovely fishery and we will be returning.

Hard going with heavy boat traffic throughout the day and 30mph winds blowing down the river didn’t help!
