Again the river still had some extra water running through it from the down pour a few days earlier, was still very much fish-able but looking at the banks the fish here see a lot of bait and pressure as they are heavily worn out. we had 2 barbel out about 8lbs each and both got snapped off a much bigger fish, soon as we hit them they went straight into the extra flowing water and then we stood no chance. Would fish this stretch again but would look to fish it when its not been fished for a few days as it seems to get booked everyday. Lots of swims available but be prepared to walk on this stretch as you get a lot of water for your money.

A great day with the river coloured again. This beat is perfect with easy access and with plenty of room. Once you find the spots the fish will come and we had barbel to 9:14 a pb for my son. Cannot wait to get back!

First time on this stretch and it was pushing through following the earlier rain and very coloured. We wandered the stretch trying to locate some fish, but to now avail. Loved the stretch and will return at some stage.

A tough day. River was very high and half a forest was washing down it. Most spots were inaccessible and was only able to fish in the margins out of any flow at all. First 6 hours were fruitless but around 1 pm a small knock resulted in the water erupting more than it already was. A fantastic fight ended in a perfectly conditioned exact 9lb Barbel - a Wye PB. No further knocks or runs until 6pm when managed a 4lb chub. Not seen the river this high before - it certainly changes quickly, as through the course of the day it had dropped over 2ft

A few fish at the start of the day, then 5 foot of rising flood water made things difficult!

Got there about 6ish in the morning and the river looked good, but about 2 hours later there was about 4 foot of extra water running through with a lot of debris coming down. As this stretch is on the outside of the bend it was fairly dangerous as my friend nearly got hit by a massive tree that was was flowing through (i wouldn't even try going into the wooded area as you'll either collapse climbing the hill to go round it or you'll fall in when in there are there are no pegs on this stretch that are really accessible). I was informed by a local who was walking their dog that the other side of this stretch was day ticket for £7 and had pegs cut out to fish, and then about half an hour later 4 really loud brummies turned up and then that was the perfect time to call it a day as I couldn't bear listening to them shout to eat other from peg to peg. I don't think I'll be paying a visit to this stretch again and if i do I'll be paying the £7 to fish the other bank as it has better swims. Think the swim could produce a good days fishing if there was no flood water running through and also if no one else was fishing the other bank.

Feeder and pellet. Nice stretch of river. Shame about the cattle in the field as they decided to join me. However, its par for the course when river fishing.

Lovely day on this picturesque beat, despite heavy driving rain in the morning. Moved around a lot and managed fish in several swims. Had 5 small barbel and one very small barbel and plenty of chub. Thanks WUF for a really good day.
