Access to water is good in places with a number of different types of swim to try. Although water was fairly low, after a few hours fishing and moving swims a number of times we managed to locate where some fish were in the pacier water. The hill as described by some isn't as big as feared and opens out in to the lower end of the beat which looks a nice stretch to investigate properly another time. A beat with potential and no real issues from anglers on the other side, though it would be nice to have this information available on the website so people know what to expect prior to booking.

This was the first of two days booked on what turned out to be a great weekend for two of the party. I started in the woods but had nothing so moved up to the waterworks swim mid morning. I had to work hard but by the time it got dark I had managed six barbel to 9 lbs 3 ozs and a 4 lbs chub. My good friend fished all day in the woods and had a fabulous day, bagging nine barbel to 10 lbs 9 ozs. His first Wye double. Unfortunately the other two blanked but to be fair spent most of the day away from the river visiting a friend. The beer and curry tasted good that evening!

Arrived around 11.00, fished below suspension bridge trotting bread, corn and tare to take 21 Chub to 4lbs 2oz with quite a few prime Dace throw in. Also had an appearance from sized good trout. All fished over a bed of hemp and corn with the occasional hand full of liquidised bread. Moved to the upper stretch early evening and fished meat and pellet over a bed of hemp and small pellet for three more Chub to 4lbs 3oz.
All in all a very enjoyable day, a lot of weed was coming down river which made bottom fishing very difficult though.

Fished all day for one small barbel. Started at the very top peg. The last time I fished here I had twelve barbel and three chub, but very different this time. Fished for two hours for no bites, and lost three feeders on the snags so I moved to the bottom swim on the fishery before the woods, where I finally got the barbel which at least avoided a total blank.
I also explored the wood at the bottom of the fishery. A lot of clearance work has been done here and there are some great looking spots. The problem is that generally about eight foot above the water which makes netting very difficult, and would be hazardous in wet conditions.

A cracking stretch with a lot of character and light canoe traffic which was pleasant. A low and clear running river made it difficult but fish were still willing to feed throughout the whole day. All fish were taken on double pellet and meat. A very enjoyable day had by us both and we will be back when the river's got a bit of extra water in it.

First time on this attractive beat. River very low and clear so not the best conditions, but we managed five barbel to 7 lbs and a chub from various pegs along the top end of the fishery.

River very low. A beautiful stretch with easy access but the water was too warm and unfortunately we both blanked. Needs a good flushing through, will be back.

"When the wind is from the East, the fishing is the least"! That combined with very low clear water and a sunny day resulted in me catching only a suntan. Tried everything, pellets, luncheon meat, bread flake. Even trotted bread flake. Nada. It wasn't until sunset I even had a twitch on the rod. I would have been happy to just get an Eel. I picked a spot where I could not see the bottom, but I guess the conditions were against me. It is a beautiful spot though and access is good. I'll revisit when there's more flow.
