A great day at Trelough Pool. For a change I took my float rod to have a go for silver fish and couldn't stop catching small bream and roach all morning. Any parent who wants to take their kids new to fishing, just set them up here with a float rod and a tub of maggots they'll be busy all day. I packed up the float gear later and put out a carp rod and took a beautiful condition 15lb common just before leaving. Love it here. Thanks WUF

A beautiful sunny spring day with cloudless skies and an easterly wind didn't bode well and sadly I didn't see or catch anything all day. Despite this, Trelough really is a wonderful place to visit. I tried a number of baits but none seemed to be on their menu today. Probably down to my lack of talent so i'll rethink and try another tactic next time.
Ill most definitely be back - thanks WUF.

Bright and warm conditions had me thinking the carp would be waking up and on the feed, well they were definitely awake however feeding was another matter altogether, tried multiple methods from surface to mid water and bottom baits to to no avail.
Lake looks like it could do with a downpour or three to flush it through.
