River very low with little flow for the Wye. Best barbel 7lb 8 oz and best chub 2lb 14oz. All caught on feeder fished halibut pellet - even the 2lb eel. We stayed at the Greenman in Fownhope which is excellent!

Good fishing conditions up until mid afternoon overcast but warm. Very sunny in the late afternoon though. Twenty seven Chub caught all on luncheon meat and bread. The Chubb caught with bread were caught float fishing, all other were on ledger. None of the Chub were below three pounds. Two eels and four Barbel were also caught, with the smallest Barbel being 8 pounds.

Once again the river was lower than the last visit. The barbel were all around the 4lb mark with a couple 14" fish. The chub were all the normal 2-3 lb mark although did catch a warrior chub of 4lbs 13oz. The biggest surprise was a monster chub of 6lbs 2oz - a beautiful fish. Will be much larger in the winter. Stunning!

river conditions good, decent flow. Fished with pellet, hoped to have caught a few more barbel but just one of those days! Bit concerned about the parking by the trees; when it rains that area is all but impossible for anything other than a 4 x 4 and then tricky. Any chance of some hardcore/hard standing since parking by the grid is now restricted to one car?
