Steady flow, most barbel on feeder and pellet, many chub on boilie wrapped in paste plus feeder. As usual a good day out on a WUF ticket! We fished the lower end of the beat in the woods!

Canoeists spoiled the fishing, shame as the beat was nice place to fish. Many thanks to Don for his help.

Not many swims available to fish on this beat, the croy seems further away each time but a nice day and a friend had his first barbel.

Very bright and scorching hot day, not much movement. Wife caught first ever barbel, 6lb 7oz. Peace and quiet spoilt by a tractor running a pump on opposite bank all day. Having said its still nice to be by the river.

Great days fishing landing 9 barbel up to 9lbs and 15 chub. Top half of the stretch next to the brook outlet was the area to fish in the evening. Will be back.

Great day float fishing pellet. 5 barbel to 7lb 6oz and a couple of chub to 3lb. One bonus wild brownie. Water slightly clearer than down stream seemed to help.

Had a real grueller yesterday despite starting the session around 4.30am and fishing straight through to 9.30pm. Lost a fish early on but blanked otherwise. My friend saved the blank at dusk with a sinlgle 5lb barbel but generally very difficult. Conditions looked perfect and we both took the usual pellet/feeder approach (varied hook sizes/lengths, used range of pellets 8>11 mm). As we are both new to this water any suggestions (from seasoned Wye fanatics) as to why this might be (semi polite only) MUCH appreciated.
AMAZING venue, thanks WUF for opening these beats, long may you prosper!
