Tough days fishing on a lovely beat. Barbel 7lb and 8lb. Chub all three 4lb. All caught on feeder and pellet.
The farmer was busy with his cows so I had to walk. Its not that bad but it's a fair way across a muddy track.
The river was on the rise so difficult to hold bottom in the faster water.
The farmer would like a sign to be put on the fence to show where to park as people are finding it difficult.

2 Barbel, 3 Chub

Bright, sunny conditions and river pretty low especially compared to this time last year when it was in flood with lots of colour. As a result the fishing wasn't as constant during the day and ended up with two barbel, however the first one was a good 'un of 9lb 6oz which was a great start. Had another at dusk weighing 6lb 14oz so still a good day overall! Thanks WUF.

2 Barbel

Lovely warm Autumn day. River very low despite recent rain. Fished the top end of the fishery. Not a touch until around 5pm, then 2 barbel approx 9.5lb and 8lb, both in excellent condition. Thanks again WUF and guide Adam Fisher.
There is a makeshift gate just before the top car parking area. I assume we can drive through this gate to the parking area?

2 Barbel

Weather nice for time of year, but not ideal for fishing; banks very slippery from rain earlier in week. Nice dace trotting from the Meadow; later move to Legg Meadow Crib produced a small barbel and some nice chub to same tactic on far bank run. Will come again.

1 Barbel, 3 Chub, 1 Other

River had risen slightly following the heavy rain of the past few days. Fished the middle of the lower section - amongst the cows - but the increased flow brought down a lot of weed and falling leaves were beginning to make life difficult. Moved to a swim out of the main flow avoiding most of the debris and managed 1 trout, 4 chub up to five pounds and 2 barbel, the largest just over 8lbs. Fed hemp and 4mm pellet and caught on hair rigged 10mm pellet.

1 Trout, 2 Barbel, 4 Chub

Weather conditions mild and perfect, rained hard the day before, everything ready for a bumper fishing session! Didn't catch a thing, didn't even get a bite. Tried everything, pellet, meat etc, moved swims and I've fished it before with great success. Nothing, but that's fishing. Will be back to try again.

A great day's fishing in superb weather. Unfortunately, the catching was not so good despite a slight rise and some colour.

3 Barbel, 3 Chub

Gorgeous day, river up a little. 2 nice barbel to 6lb on pellet and 5 chub to 4lb. Colin helpful and friendly as ever.

2 Barbel, 5 Chub

The river looked perfect and the chubb were feeding but not the barbel with only four caught in the day. A beautiful setting and much more to explore. We will return.

4 Barbel, 20 Chub

Wonderful day as always on a stunning piece of Wye and Usk Foundation water. Thanks again to all the team. Plenty of action throughout the day from accessible swims.
