River very low and clear, weather showery and windy. Still able to drive to the water.
A slow day but found a few fish towards the lower end of the beat mid afternoon, best 6lb barbel and a 3.5lb chub. A pleasant day thank you.

A really tough day on very nice looking stretch of the Wye. The weather was much kinder to us than the predicted forecast inferred, but that didn't help the fishing unfortunately. We tried just about every swim on the beat but no bites were forthcoming until around 6pm when we saw the first fish. 2 caught and 3 lost (a couple of monsters), better luck next time!

Fished Wood section until lunchtime without success then moved to Legg Meadow. All quiet until 4pm when we enjoyed good sport for 90 minutes taking 5 barbel to 8lb 8oz on pellet.

Very low and clear water, not a great deal of flow. No bites all day on a variety of methods and at various locations along the stretch.
Highlight of the day was two Chinook helicopters coming at speed and at treetop height up the river, so low you could feel the downdraft and clearly see the pilots.

Very disappointing 2 days on this stretch with not so much as a semblance of a bite and saw only 2 small chub rising. Though access to the river is easy with some swims helpfully cut in, much of the stretch is all but unfishable. It should also be noted that it looked as if someone had cut a swim into the section that is not supposed to be fished.

Fished off croys, 1 fished hooked and lost due to bent hook and pulled out. No more bites till lunchtime but having moved to lower end of beat hooked and landed very large barbel, possibly 14lbs, at 4pm. These were the only two fish all day for two anglers. Bait hinders elips pellet, hooks size 14, 8lb hook link to 12lb main line, swim feeder. River low, weather dry, cloudy with some sun. Lovely spot but will return.

Weather turning with showers and gusty wind, river reasonably clear after recent rain so had potential. Fished several lower swims with no result but managed to find a shoal of barbel later in the day in some faster water who responded well to pellet and hemp in a feeder. Walk to beat and pegs better than expected after reading previous comments, parking etc good. Thanks for a good day WUF.

Great days fishing in tough conditions. 5 barbel taken to around the 6lb mark and 2 chub to 3lb, all fish were in beautiful condition and went back healthy. River was low and clear with a lot of weed and leaves coming down. Found 2 swims where I could fish close in, just off the flow to avoid the weed coming down the river. All 5 barbel came from the first swim and the chub from the second although I did spot a large barbel in the second swim which could have been close to double figures. The river was so clear I could watch the fish feed and take my bait in the second swim which was enjoyable. This is the second time I've fished this stretch and it won't be the last!
