We had an enjoyable day in beautifully rugged countryside and caught one wild carp of around 3lbs and two chub around the 2-3lb mark, how did the chub get in there? I take it the carp are a very old strain that were introduced in the distant past and are there any other species that you know of? Looking forward to a return visit.

Perfect conditions and excellent fishing. Barbel took a while to get going but were very cooperative later in the day. The chub were extremely active and it was difficult to get a bait through to the barbel at times.
