Well what a cracking stretch of river the fishing started off slow not a touch on halibut pellet but all changed when luncheon meat was on. The best chub of 6lb was my new pb and made my day. We will be definitely going back there cheers

Turned up to find the river totally void of life. Just the way I like it! Started at the top end and managed a 4lb chub after an hour using a boilie bait I'm testing for a mate. I then worked my way down each swim using my trusted free running ledger approach finishing on 3 chub and 5 barbel, the biggest just tipping 9lb. Great days fishing.
Word of caution to those going be careful on the banks as some swims are pretty steep and the mud can be deadly. I nearly ended up on my back a few times.
Cheers for a great day. Hopeful I'll be back very soon.

2 x barbel caught. One of 5.5lb and one 7.5lb. Caught on halibut pellets. Absolutely lovely beat. Very quiet and peaceful on a misty grey November day. Expectations were low for barbel as it is getting late in the year, so really delighted with the results. Banks very slippery!

Great day, river at 2' on the gauge at Lani. Air temperature at 15 degrees, overcast day with upstream wind, great conditions for trotting, managed some nice grayling to 1 3/4 lb, 3 Chub to 4lb and a few brownies. All in all very pleasant day on the upper river.
Thanks to WUF as always great service.

Perfect conditions. 1 run take, fish didn't stay. Nothing else, not a touch all day after that run.

7 Chub on bread and cheese paste. Missed a lots of bites on cheese paste. Time to start striking instead of letting barbel pull the rod over.

River high and fast. Lots of debris....I tried 5 different swims in the upper part of the fishery but not even bite all day. Access is ok, stairs are not that hard and the first swim is not too far. Area and the river is ok, but next time I will be going to different area of the Wye, which I like more.
