River conditions atrocious. High, rising and the colour of milk chocolate. Fishing virtually impossible but had a go. Actually caught an eel but that was all. River continued to rise throughout the day. We had some nice views of floating trees!!

A difficult day, the river was low and clear. The rain over the recent past had made the banks somewhat slippery and difficult to traverse. Don was very helpful and I fished the lower beat towards the Ferry Pool and caught 5 barbel to 7 lbs 6 oz on halibut pellet over hemp and halibut groundbait.

A tough day despite good conditions. A single barbel of 8.5lb caught. The banks were treacherous and dangerous in places. Good advice from Don Macer-Wright re locations. In drier bank conditions fishing would no doubt be more pleasurable.
