Another fantastic beat on what was probably not the most productive day, as it was bright sunshine all day long, although not complaining! 15 Barbel to 9lb 8oz and 1 chub. We stayed at the Cottage of Content and had a great time, Thanks again W&UF!

First ever day Barbel fishing (generally go trout / salmon fishing) and the guys in the the fishing shop in Ross gave sound advice! 11 barbel landed and a few lost on swim fed hallibut pellet, to 8lbs with several over 5 lbs. Relentless canoes all day but didn't appear to affect the feeding fish so not a problem. Will be back, but doubt conditions will be so perfect every time

2 Barbel, 7and 9lb and one chub 4lb. The canoe problem is just so bad that its difficult to fish the water at all between 10am and 4pm.

Lovely day and river in good condition but bites hard to come by. Ended on three barbel between us, the best 7lb 6oz. A disappointing return for the amount of effort but at least M got his first Wye barbel.

After a misty start the weather turned quite hot and the fishing suffered, either that or my fishing skills are to blame, probably the latter! Anyway on two rods caught a monster of a chub while my 14 year old son caught a barbel and another large chub. Beautiful surroundings and a very enjoyable day - thank you WUF.

Wonderfull to be back on the river after twelve months,
no rivers in Jersey. 3 barbel caught and one lost straightening the hook, for us a good start on the river.

Foggy start leading to a bright sunny day. 12 Barbel and a smattering of Chub mostly caught top end to middle of fishery on pellet and groudbait tactics. A little disappointing end result, perhaps we should not have such high expectations of both the River and our own angling skills. Thanks to WUF for giving us the opportunity anyway still a wonderfull place to spend a day with friends.
