Beat:Home Fishery
Fishing:Coarse
No. of Anglers:4
River was up around 3ft and in perfect condition. three anglers fished from and stayed in the same swims throughout.
Two of the Barbel were over 9 pound's
A great fishery with good access although we were in a 4 x 4.
It may be more difficult in a smaller car if conditions were especially wet.
Will definitely be coming back

Blanked. River bombing through, moved around a bit to find fish but location, access and holding hard with extra pace over what appears fairly shallow beat. From beat gallery it appears there is a fair amount of swim access that is easier when levels are normal?

I booked this ages ago had spoken to the bailiff at the time of booking and then two days before my trip was told by him that maggots are banned on this beat. I would suggest this is clarified as it contravenes the Wye and usk fishing regulations as printed. Not a massive problem as it turned out as too many small fish about anyway.
