Intended to fish the Lucky Stones but water levels made that a bit treacherous and after losing 2 lots of feeder tackle in the rocks I moved down to a comfy grass peg below the wood. In the lashing rain I had 14 chub, all to feeder and boilie.

2 at 9.5lbs and 1 at 9.0 lbs....rest were 8's, 7's couple 6's.....and 5 big chub, 2 eels. The bank was treacherous with the rain, I had crampons on which were needed. In the very edge the depth was 5ft, be careful in all the swims. Also I tackled down and stripped off 6 foot of line a couple of times due to rock damage....before the line broke on a fish. One of the barbel had a hook in it with 5 inches of line still attached, although that might have occurred in a different swim, better to spend a few minutes and check the line every few casts.

Tough day. Three and a half hours of continuous heavy rain in the afternoon. Pellats the most successful bait. Beautiful stretch. 'other' fish was a big fat eel, Yuk! As it slid into the net the hook pulled and I just lowered the net in the water and off it went. so glad!
