River very coloured and heavy rain in the morning, much drier afternoon. Fish came to ledgered pellet and luncheon meat throughout the day. Kingfishers, egrets an herons on the move, and lovely to see. One eel thankfully released itself before landing.

Booked evening fishing as my son wanted to catch a barbel, he was determined didn’t even care about the pouring rain all day. Got to the bank around 6ish fished till 9pm. Had 2 barbel bites and caught 1 chub and probably lost another chub at reeling in.
Lovely weather even was sunny before dawn. River was slightly higher than usual and bit murky. Lost a couple of tackle as quite snaggy this area is.
Nice time out. Parking is not clear as stated, they are shutting a gates at 7pm had to move the car onto the road to make sure won’t we stay all night.
