Baits used were pellet and meat.
The barbel was tempted with a hinders barbel bomb pellet. It came in an 5lb and 10ozs.
Quite overcast today with the odd attempt at a rain shower. Fantastic to see a number of pairs of kingfishers skimming the surface up and down the river on Beat 2.

Village must have been missing an idiot!!!! Not a problem with canoes..actually quite enjoy the banter!
Fished the very top swim , great access down to waters edge, fishing tight on the inside due to canoe traffic and two fellas arrived out of control spinning around ,on the calmest bit of river you’ve ever seen and actually bent my bankstick. I explained ….. even with my limited knowledge… the person steering the canoe is situated at the rear.. not the front.. Go figure !!
Strange day fishing wise… everything seemed good but…..hey ho ????????♂️

A slow morning, river was slightly up and coloured as seems usual these days. Fishing picked up in the afternoon/evening after heavy baiting. Switching between krill dumbells and 8mm robin reds on a straight lead with long hooklength kept the bites coming. Very picturesque beat if a bit limited.
