River conditions absolutely perfect today and the weather was just as good but sadly no barbel again, they seem to have deserted this stretch..
Had 20+ chub. They keep you occupied but not what I was fishing for.
Used every bait you could think of over a bed of groundbait. The chub took anything and everything. Meat, corn, cheese, pellet, boilie, bread,.... The barbel are non existent. Lovely beat though. Thanks again.

Tough day but very enjoyable nonetheless. We covered both ends of the fishery but couldn’t buy a bite early on.
The afternoon was more fruitful though. Great fishery, made all the better by the hard work being put in by Stefan. He is also definitely worth listening too if you get the opportunity to chat with him.
If I have one criticism, it is that more ropes are required to help get in and out of the swims at this time of year.

One good barbel and two small ones, plus a few chub. Could not buy a bite on the float, in multiple swims, but took biggest barbel as soon as I tried a feeder over the same line.
A wide variety of water here. I shall come again.
Spent some time feeding and being entertained by some small cute ducks which I now find are female mandarin ducks and a peregrine.

Nice fish first cast then nothing as the weather closed in. Still better than working even though we were soaked.
