Afternoon evening session 8 chub from downstream section from 3 swims then moved to upstream section and fished until curfew 20 chub up to 5lb 10oz unfortunately no barbel,fished meat for the chub tried various baits for the barbel but to no avail.

Had a great day fishing the foy bridge stretch, lost count of the chub, the best of which being around 4lbs, and one 4lb barbel. Fished a feeder with halibut pellets, ground bait and hemp, halibut pellet hook bait. Staying at ‘stay by the wye’ our second time here, recommended for a tranquil stay within easy walking distance of the river. Looking forward to fishing again tomorrow, will try again for another barbel!’
