Lovely stretch of river with plenty of access to the water. Seemed to be a lot of snags in the middle section but we managed a few fish in between losing tackle. Other was an eel, nice to see the are still some about.

Fish was very slow untill later on in the day, about hour before dusk. Had one decent size chub about 3lb then a very small one. Was much better last year fishing the same methods and swims, but that's fishing.

A lovely 3lb chub and a small but beautiful 1lb carp, both on ledgered meat. Water temp 13 deg C.
Beautiful fishery, great wildlife, but don't expect seclusion at the weekend, it's very popular with the public. The number of poorly controlled dogs (20+) we saw chasing sheep and harassing ground nesting birds was concerning.

First ever trip to the River Wye. The land scape didn't disappoint. River was reasonably low with some colour and pushing through. Fished rolling meat in a few swims, caught 1 Barbel before putting out the feeder rod which resulted in zero bites. Parked at the top and walked down. Stayed at the Inn on the wye. Highly recommend it.
