Should be advertised as single bank fishing, even with levels at summer low there’s no way of crossing the river to fish the left bank. Small section of river, not for the adventurer.

Fishing Passport Note : It is always worth mentioning a double bank fishery. Anglers will fish in the knowledge no-one will be fishing opposite.

Very cold morning -3 ground was solid and the river was low and clear new I was in for a hard day decided to fish an in-line maggot feeder on a 4oz tip, baited up a few swims had a small Chub first cast didn't get a knock for the rest of the morning. Changed over to meat in the afternoon and sat it out in the swim that I had the Chub just as the light was going the tip sprang into life with a typical Chub bite after fighting to keep it out of the snags I had my first decent fish of the day 4lb 9oz Chub, well chuffed. Had a chat with bailiff in the day gave me a lot of advice on the beat which was appreciated.

First River Wye blank.
Numerous baits, tactics & swims tried to no avail. Even so, had a great day in a beautiful spot.

Lovely stretch of river but after the recent floods and fall in temperature I was happy to manage a couple of fish.

Beautiful winters day and given the recent floods and the river looking in prime condition we felt a feeding spell for Chub and Pike would be likely.
Things started well with a 12lb Pike for me. Dad was Chub fishing and getting wraps on bread. Lost a couple before finally getting one in the net at Chub of 4lb 9oz.
Love this beat and we’ll certainly be back again soon.
