Very hot and bright day. Didn't find the walk from the parking area to the bank too bad. Or on the way back but the length of the beat seemed longer than anticipated and a little bit of a struggle over stiles, narrow footbridges and gates, unless travelling very light indeed.
Conditions still wet and slippery under foot and a bit of a struggle to get down steep banks to the available swims. But a very beautiful spot.
Fished the bottom end of the beat in the morning but no sign of life, possibly due to very bright conditions.
Moved to the top end and faster shallower water just down from the croy where the chub appeared. All had on meat/meat pellet on the feeder.

Our first time fishing this beat and the river was still about 1m up and coloured following heavy rains. A beautiful stretch of river with a good number of accessible swims. We were feeder fishing and most bites came later in the day after regularly introducing bait. The game keeper paid a visit who was a really nice guy and very helpful. Other fish was a large eel.
