Rather hot day which made the fishing rather slow. Lovely stretch of water despite the lack of fish landed. Sure there are fish present but they would not give any three foot twitches

The track from the parking area to the river is very steep and a bit of an obstacle course. Once we reached the river we found
just one swim that was even close to being fishable. It looked far from safe and there were two of us so we didn't even bother getting the gear out the car.
I think some real honesty regarding poor access to the river and the fact that most of the bank is very overgrown would be welcome. Advice to travel light is not enough. Allowing several hours work with a brush cutter would be better advice.
Would not book this stretch again.

With the river low and the temperatures nearing 30 degrees for the start of September we concentrated on fishing early morning and late evening. Some good barbel to 7lb although the fish tended to come in short bursts.
