River was about 9 inches up when we arrived and dark brown. The colour was unnaturally dark for the water level. We had not seen this depth of colour even when the river had flooded the Holme Lacy meadows upstream.
The fish were incredibly shy biting and this was despite the beat being lightly fished over the last month. We switched baits regularly including meat cheese sweetcorn boilies and bread.
The beat is superbly maintained and had been recently strimmed. We fished most swims and the best fishing was in the middle section both under the willows and close in off the croys.

The river had risen sharply overnight and was the colour of drinking chocolate, with a strong flow. Still managed 5 barbel with two around 9lb.

Another great day on the Wye. Not easy fishing but roving the stretch found the fish. The Wye was up 1m ovenight and we thought this might get the fish feeding but they didn't really seem too bothered and we had to work for the bites, fighting all the debris that was coming down, weed, branches, logs, etc. However 4 barbel each and some nice chub was a great reward.

Did not fish. Walked the whole fishery and could not find 3 swims that were accessible for us being a little bit older. Nothing seems to be done to help the angler. Together with the very difficult access. Will not be visiting again. Work needs to be done.

River carrying approx18 inches extra and a nice colour as the only angler booked on the day I prebaited six swims and fished them in rotation, chub seemed to be feeding from the start ranging from 2lb up to 5lb 8oz one solitary Barbel of 5lb 8oz late in the day.Just a note to thank the landowner for building the new steps on the right hand bank making swim access easier.

Great days fishing and a first time for me and my 10 year old son on the Wye. The river was running high which made it tricky in several areas, no joy on beat 3 or 4 but found a deeper run on beat 5 on the top bend. 5 chub all around 5lb and 4 barbel biggest just under 8. Had 1 chub also further along beat 5. All on feeder tactics.

Another disappointing day.The spate peaked at 1.3 m on the Ross gauge in the five hours I was fishing and several swims were inaccessible. The weather was largely cloudy and very warm. The bigger chub was around four pounds and gave a good account of itself so that was some consolation for the absent barbel.
