A 3 hour afternoon session. Fished 12mm pellets with crushed pellet feeder. River was rising, coloured and very fast following the rain showers at the end of last week and the weekend. Fished right bank beat 2 more or less opposite the pump house. first hour saw 2 Chub around 5lb, both with lice but still looked quite healthy and put up a good fight. Next two hours were very quiet indeed but the air display from the Sand Martins provided ample entertainment.

Wye was rising after a few days of welcome steady rain.
Fished 11.00am right through to sunset.Used sweetcorn and meat with an open end feeder. Also a rolling lead bumped across the stream. No snags. Fished two swims either side of tree line. 7 Chub best 5lbs 1oz ....3 Barbel best 7lbs 3ozs and 1 eel on meat at end. I could not buy a bite on pellet. Landowner encouraged me to park down by the river which was excellent on this July day.Met the gamekeeper who was very friendly and helpful. A lovely peaceful day by this glorious river.

Tricky conditions with the river rising quickly throughout the day and near constant rain. Still managed plenty of fish with only 3 of us fishing. Great fun in a stunning place.

River perfect for the feeder. Colour just dropping out . Started at 7.30 am, packed up at 5 pm , worn out . Biggest just under 10lb . Even had one on the drop. Needed 13 lb line and 2.5 test curve in these conditions. One of the best stretches I've fished but must have water and colour . Thank you fishing passport.

Rain was forecast for most of Sunday with a 70% probability but it stayed fine all day. In fact, more than once I had to get the sunblock out! River was rising and coloured, but great to see it getting a good flush through to be honest. Fished in swim directly opposite the 2 houses, using big pieces of haIr-rigged meat with a size 8 barbless hook and rolling leger. Had 3 barbel and 11 chub. Have sent in photos of the best fish. Lovely day on a very special river.
