First of three days back on the wye begins here at holme lacy 3 and no better place to begin all three of us catching some lovely chub and barbel excellent start hopefully the next two will be as good
SG 75 chub and 3 berbel MH 65 chub SM 60 chub.

3 Barbel, 200 Chub

First time on this stretch, good access. Not the most peaceful of beats, swimmers, dogs, main road, but a delightful shallow run although very snaggy . Fish are of a smaller size here, the barbel averaged 3.25lbs.

A great day was lucky with the rain on the previous few days had put a few inches on and had coloured the river up nicely , started on the float and had 8 chub and a Barbel of 4lb. Rest fell to ledgering approach thru the rest of the day. Great stretch. Met the angler who was on next day , passed on my experience of the stretch on hope they have a good day ????
Great start to the season and lovely to be back on the Wye

Conditions difficult, very hot day, river low. Caught 2 Chub and a Barbel

1 Barbel, 2 Chub

Very warm day but found the fish feeding and took Barbel to 9lb 9 and chub between 2 and 4lb. An eel on pellet, which was a first. Heavy river traffic all day and evening with swimmers, canoes, paddle-boards, inflatables, dogs, babies. All friendly, but eventually the sport died with barely a sniff after 5pm.

Only managed a short two hour evening session. No fish but a pleasant way to spend a summers evening
