Walked over the hill to the top end of the beat. All the chub & 1 barbel on the float with punched meat. 1 barbel to touch ledgered pellet. Both barbel small fish in excellent condition which must bode well for the future of the fishery.

1 Barbel right at the end, just short of 10lbs and one minnow! Found it very difficult, probably only 3 pegs actually fishable with the river being so low. Spent most of the day looking at the scenery

A tough day - bright sun and a low river ( which reduced the amount of fishable pegs ) but splendid views.
A few lost barbel, damn those rocks !

Fished swims near the bottom of the stretch where we had done well on our previous visit two years ago. 17 chub and 3 barbel between the two of us. Beautiful stretch of river. Almost all the fish came to 8mm Source pellets.
