Clear skies in morning with a bit of cloud after that but hot all day. River very low, with a tinge of colour but also a 22 degree water temperature so low expectations. Fished the fast water 0745 to 0915 and 1530 to 1700 when I had to leave, without a bite. Fished the top swim which is a bit precarious but had 4 chub under 2lb ut the rest averaging 3lb on pellet feeder and an assortment of hookbaits . Bankside weed reduced swims in front of the church and everywhere apart from the steps swim in the upper field where there was no Bankside weed was completely overgrown. But overall a good day in beautiful surroundings.

Lovely stretch and accesability is good....fished before the school holidays so no parties in the river. It was hot and sunny, river low and streamer weed gone due to pollution. no barbel but may show later in the season. Lots of fry in the edge.

Really enjoyed my day thank you. River was low but still fished well and had some nice chub on the feeder. Will go back again.

River very low. Day ruined by trees being chainsawed and chipped up most of the day. Extremely noisy and annoying. Road closed meaning couldn't access other end of beat without massive detour. Fished 10am-10pm. Between us only had 2 real bites (barbel most likely), one resulting in a lost fish. Pellets used. A day to forget. Saw a mink by edge of river.

There were three of us fishing this beat, which does look like it would be really nice with another meter of water in it.

This stretch is often overlooked and what ever the weather and river conditions it’s all ways served me well.
As the weather was warm and the river was gin clear i opted to fish the meadow swims where you find the faster shallow runs
Caught steadily through the evening and ended up with 5 Barbel .

Struggled. But to be fair blazing sunshine, very hot and very low water levels. Plenty of accessible swims.
Other fish was an eel.
