Nice to be back on the river even if it was a wet day. 1 barbel and 2 chubb caught to luncheon meet, the other barbel was to a boillie, all in the middle part of the lower end of the beat.
Very nice to see the work put in to clear the swims giving plenty of space to spread your gear out, canoes were a slight hindrance s as they were close to the back so having to shout out when lines were in the water.

A much cooler day with prolonged periods of rain almost certainly contributed to a good session with 7 carp to 11lb taken on different methods throughout the day, a few roach and a bream all made for a very enjoyable day.

First cast at 05:00 to beat the heat and the canoes. Fished until 11:30 with no nibbles. Tried the faster water just below the car park.
The water extraction motor was turned on at 05:30. There is no much water being extracted, it’s a wonder there is any left in the river!
