Overcast and drizzle day. River not high. Three chub between 3 and 4lbs, 1 barbel just after sunset at 9lbs, and 1 other lost. Fish caught on pellet and meat. Quite a trek up and over the hill to venture downstream of the woods! Had a visit from a cheeky otter.
1 Barbel, 3 Chub

No dice.
River rising and very cold indeed (5-6 degrees c). Also, so much debris, could hardly keep the line in the water for very long without encountering problems. Very challenging conditions.
Beautiful spot though and will be back when its warmer.
