River up and coloured, but dropping throughout the day. The wind picked up in the morning and the river filled with willow leaves, which made presentation difficult, as struggling to hold bottom for long. Still managed to catch steadily through the day and ended with a double hookup between us just as we were about to pack up.

River was down from previous day to about 0.75m. Still took some weight to hold bottom as a lot more autumn debris coming downstream dragging everything about.

2 decent chub on the croy by fishman’s before moving downstream. Few more chub through the day before the barbel turned up in the last hour. One barbel taking it on the drop after recast from first.

2 barbel to 8lb and 7 chub to 5 1/2 lb - larger chub on meat.

Great to be back on the creel , it’s been too long . Started late morning through till last light , river flowing nicely with a bit of colour . Had to use heavy gear to keep rig down middle river , didn’t get snagged once used same rig all day .
What a days fishing ! 5 of the chub where between 4-5 lb ,bites all day . Only 1 barbel during the day , the others came in last hour of light , biggest 8lb to finish the session ,all caught on a selection of pellets. The sun was shining all day couldn’t have been better , the perfect day ! Best fishing session I’ve had all season . Just what I needed

River dropping and getting clearer. Lack of weed doesn’t suit the barbel. Maybe the EA need to act regarding the pollution which seems to be the root cause of the problem. A sunny day but a chilly breeze.

Caught the river on the drop and with lots of colour. Very bright and hot day but managed 12 barbel and 7 Chub all from the top end of fishery on feeder and pellet or boilies. Biggest barbel went 9Ib with most being around 7Ib. Great beat as always with rope installed on most swims. Well done to the fishery management.
