As others have said it's pretty overgrown but it's an interesting beat. There are a few access points marked on the beat map but some of them have fallen trees blocking access to the water. Looking at the pictures from previous anglers the water was a little bit couloured on my visit. Trotting maggots resulted in some small chublets and an out of season brown trout. I tried dropping luncheon meat in likely looking spots in the hope of picking up some better chub but didn't get a sniff. Look forward to returning ahd having a go in some of the other swims.

River was up and coloured, so we concentrated on fishing along the inside line. After a slow start, the fish started feeding through the afternoon and evening. We used meat and pellets as bait.

Another enjoyable session on this beat. A dropping and clearing river produced early and late. Largest barbel scraping 8lb with the others around 5lb. All taken from various swims along with a few bonus large chub.

Great conditions but tricky going where river pushes into deeper gullys due to gravel bars. Took 4oz to (just) hold bottom with about 1m on.

Moved through 3 swims before finding the fish. 3 barbel to 7lb ish and 6 chub to 3lb.

Condition s looked great with warm still weather and river coloured but dropping nicely. Unfortunately the fishing was very quiet. Tried for barbel with zero bites and few knocks. Picked up two chub up to 2.5lbs while trotting. A lovely beat, so better luck another time
