Nine small chub caught trotting maggots during the day. All six barbel came in the last hour at sunset on pellet feeder or PVA bags with krill boilies. The biggest barbel was exactly 8lb.

Conditions not ideal, river low/bright sunshine. A light shower resulted in some late afternoon/early evening action, with 1 barbel and several large chub in the total of 25.

2 dace as well as the specified fish. River was very low but lots of fish activity.
Dog walkers were a bit of a problem one dog got tangled in my line whilst I was tackling up

The fishing was spoiled by a wild swimming event that started at Lydbrook. 200 swimmers passing through the swim between 9:30 and midday - nightmare and wasted morning. Over 500 canoes passed through - crazy! Non- stop canoes until 3:30pm - needs regulating!!! Fish caught in small windows between canoes and swimmers and later on when canoeist numbers reduced.

2 Barbel and 10 chub caught on trotting tactics. 2 barbel and 3 chub caught on the feeder. Water levels were low and there were a lot of kayaks and paddle boards on the river until mid afternoon.

Quite disappointed with this stretch... Over mile of water but there's maybe only 3/4 places where you can actually get to the bank. No fish caught.
