Just over 1 mile of mostly double bank fishing downstream of the Merthyr road bridge in Abergavenny. The beat has a number of salmon pools, runs and glides throughout its length which are great for trout, either uptream dry or traditional downstream Tweed style or spiders. The river here flows over gravel meaning that wading is much easier than other parts of the river.
