The Carmarthen Amateur Angling Association (CAAA) have access to some fourteen miles of fishing. In addition to arguably the finest club water on the lower Tywi, CAAA boasts superb beats on rivers Cothi, Gwili and Cynin. With CAAA’s highest Tywi beat located only six miles above the high tide mark, it is possible to receive fresh run fish in a matter of a few hours.
A Day or Weekly ticket purchased through the Fishing Passport gives you access to the following beats (Please note Weekly tickets are valid from the first date booked for 7 consecutive days) :
Cynin - Gelliwen Waters (1 Mile) – Both banks of the river Cynin from the hamlet of Felindre near Llanwinio for approx. 1 mile.
Cothi – Pontynyswen & Ty Crug Waters (2 miles) – Left hand bank upstream from Pontynyswen Bridge to just beyond Ty Crug Farm.
Gwili – Glangwili Bridge to Bronwydd Waters (3 Miles)
Gwili – Bronwydd Village to Dyffryn Gwili Waters (1.5 Miles)
Tywi – Dan yr Allt Waters (1 Mile) Tidal Accessed via a farm track immediately before taking the B4300 heading from Carmarthen.
Tywi – Lower Beats, Bwlch, Island Fawr & Crystanog Waters (0.75 Miles) Accessed off the B4300 from Carmarthen heading for Capel Dewi
Tywi – All Waters & Gilberts (1.5 Miles) Access from both the B4300 and A40.
Tywi – Weir & Capel Dewi (1 Mile) Accessed from both the B4300 and A40.
Tywi – Llanarthne Waters - Barley Mount, Glantowy & Typicca Beats (2.5 Miles) Accessed from the B4300
