1.3km of left bank fishing. This river here flows over bedrock and boulders as it tempestuously exits the Buckland gorge. There are 2 waterfalls and several other cascades. For salmon the best catches are Beginners pool, Shingles pool in higher water where the fish check alongside the middle river rock outcrop after running the falls, the middle and tail of the Falls pool and the boat (Panteg) pool at the bottom end. Beech pool worth a cast as well. There are a number of other catches and lies.

All bookings have to be run past the fishery owner before they can be accepted. Please bear this in mind if you are planning a last minute booking. It may be 48 hours or more before an answer is obtained.

  • National bye-laws must be observed and it is up to anglers to familiarise themselves with these.
  • Fly Fishing only for Trout
  • 2 trout can be taken per rod. Anything under 9" must be returned (byelaw)
  • Catch & Release for salmon at all times
  • Dogs allowed but must be kept under control at all times
  • This Beat operates a Wash-Off Policy
  • Barbless hooks only
