Llangollen Maelor Angling was founded in 2011 and controls fishing on approximately 10½ miles of the Welsh Dee in an area of outstanding beauty and world heritage.
The river is fed by the headland lakes of Alwen, Brenig, Celyn and Bala, and is one of the purest rivers in Europe. It is internationally renowned for brown trout and grayling fishing and has good runs of salmon and sea trout throughout the season.
Wading is of mixed difficulty with buoyancy aids advised and a wading stick essential.
