We cannot stress enough the importance of making quick and accurate returns of salmon catches, even if nothing has been caught. Recording catch data is one (perhaps the best, certainly the most cost effective) way of determining the success of our river restoration works. Although affected by short term variations in weather and water conditions, the longer term data set will build an accurate picture of our salmon runs. Catch returns can be made quickly via our online form for both Passport and non-Passport waters. Most of our reporting is from the Wye. Where a salmon has come from another river we will state accordingly.

11:06 am Wyebank: Robert Colquhoun took a very small 2lbs grilse yesterday and lost a much bigger fish.

9:48 am Wyastone Crown: (Gwent Angling) Clive Pegler took an 18lbs on spinner at 9am and a 10lbs on fly (his first fly caught Wye fish) at 10am yesterday. He reports plenty of fish showing and running through until around 11am.

6:21 am Redbrook: 10lb liced fish for Andrew Holloway on a spinner.

8:15 pm Wyesham finished on 11 with the last fish a 10lber from the Pipes on a cascade.

5:20 pm Wyesham: Fish no.10 for the day, 14lber just taken from the Viaduct pool on fly.

4:02 pm Wyebank: After seeing fish in Wyebank pool last evening, Don Macer-Wright took a 9lber just after lunch today on a Devon Minnow.

3:44 pm Holme Lacy 3: Graham Paskett reports a 20lber taken last Saturday 20th June.

2:54 pm Wyesham: are up to 7 with the best fish being 16lbs.

2:53 pm Ingestone: are now up to 39 including a 3.5lbs grilse.

1:15 pm Bigsweir: Added another 8 to their total taking them to 51 for the season including an 11 lbs and 25 lbs this morning and 3 yesterday caught on the fly.

12:46 pm Wyesham: Another 4 this morning, totalling 5 so far between 8 and 11 lbs.

10:06 am Cadora: 10lb salmon just taken for Andy Fenners guest.

9:51 am Golden Mile: Bob Mason, yesterday, 11 lbs on spinner.

9:24 am Wyesham: 8lber just taken on Fly from Little Colemans, fish showing everywhere.

9:15 am Wyesham: Took another 8 late yesterday afternoon from 9 - 16lbs finishing with 24 for the day and 72 for the month so far. Ray reports very large numbers of fish about. The last time Wyesham took 24 in a day was 1995 and they ended on 55 for the month.
