We cannot stress enough the importance of making quick and accurate returns of salmon catches, even if nothing has been caught. Recording catch data is one (perhaps the best, certainly the most cost effective) way of determining the success of our river restoration works. Although affected by short term variations in weather and water conditions, the longer term data set will build an accurate picture of our salmon runs. Catch returns can be made quickly via our online form for both Passport and non-Passport waters. Most of our reporting is from the Wye. Where a salmon has come from another river we will state accordingly.

6:28 am Fish of 7lb and 18lb caught from the Lines at Goodrich court yesterday evening by Ed Brown and Stewart Allum respectively. Both fell to fly.

10:05 pm Late report of an 8lb fish from Rhosferig (25th May)

3:29 pm Late report of a couple of fish from Gwent anglers beat at Wyeastone.

2:26 pm Bigsweir had a fish this morning lifting their total to 31.

2:16 pm Wyesham: 6 so far this a.m. Martin Bowler had 3 - 5, 10 and 12lbs and Wayne Little also had a hat trick with fish of 7, 12 and 14lbs. Struggled in the nervous nineties yesterday but now the century has been achieved with a stunning six! Total now 104.

11:57 am Illtyd Griffiths took a 12lbs salmon on fly from the Rectory on Friday 31st May.

7:43 am Up at Llysdinham; on the 30th Steve Grimwood caught fish of 10 and 20lb. Yesterday Robin Wood caught a 21lber and lost another.

9:16 am Last week Brian Skinner had a 25lber from Pwll-y-Faedda. He lost 3 others the same day.
