We cannot stress enough the importance of making quick and accurate returns of salmon catches, even if nothing has been caught. Recording catch data is one (perhaps the best, certainly the most cost effective) way of determining the success of our river restoration works. Although affected by short term variations in weather and water conditions, the longer term data set will build an accurate picture of our salmon runs. Catch returns can be made quickly via our online form for both Passport and non-Passport waters. Most of our reporting is from the Wye. Where a salmon has come from another river we will state accordingly.

9:45 am Charles Davies caught his forth fish of the season yesterday on Hereford AA water, 20lbs on a black and yellow flying C.

9:34 am Late return from Ross AA of 3 fish earlier this month, 1 x 23lbs and 2 x 18lbs.

9:26 am In a 90 minute spell yesterday afternoon, Dave Roberts took 3 salmon from Carrots. 8, 11, and 13lbs taken on mepps.

9:00 am An 18lb salmon for Tony Richardson at Lower Carrots & Luggsmouth on Wednesday, spinning.

11:07 pm Don Macer-Wright had fish of 9lb, 9lb and 12lb from Wyebank this evening. All on fly.

6:01 pm Wyesham: Ray reports another two,8 & 9 lbs making a total so far of 14. All sealiced but heading up river

4:51 pm Ray Morris reports 'one hell of a run' of fish has come in this morning.

4:46 pm Wyesham are up to 12 so far today, Ray Morris has taken 5 - 3 x 10, 1 x 9 and 1 x 7lbs. Michael Morris has taken 4 - 15, 10, 9 and 7lbs and Tim Risedale has taken 3 - 8, 10 and 12lbs.
