We cannot stress enough the importance of making quick and accurate returns of salmon catches, even if nothing has been caught. Recording catch data is one (perhaps the best, certainly the most cost effective) way of determining the success of our river restoration works. Although affected by short term variations in weather and water conditions, the longer term data set will build an accurate picture of our salmon runs. Catch returns can be made quickly via our online form for both Passport and non-Passport waters. Most of our reporting is from the Wye. Where a salmon has come from another river we will state accordingly.

10:50 pm Mike Timmis had a fish of 11lbs on fly from Island Stream and a second of 16 lbs from Cottage Flats on spinner (Wyesham)
9:08 pm 11lb fish landed at Kerne Bridge by Steve Brown. He also lost another.
4:22 pm Whitney report a 10lb fish on a size 8 Willie Gunn first thing this morning.
6:18 am 3 more from Sheepwash, 16.5lb, 11lb and 10lb and just upstream Golden Mile produced a 24lber.

6:45 pm Ed Brown caught a 28lb sea liced fish at Bigsweir today. Properly weighed.
5:32 pm Wyesham report only another 2 this afternoon taking them to 8 today. 7lbs, 2 x 8, 2 x 10, 13 and 20lbs.
4:21 pm 15lbs hen fish taken by Lynn Jones at Lower Ballingham this morning on a black and pink Devon.
1:37 pm Bigsweir report 5 so far this week including fish of 20lb and 11lb yesterday.

4:51 pm Ray Morris reports 'one hell of a run' of fish has come in this morning.
